When using Dreamverb is it best to have mix on 100%?

Hi when using Dreamverb as a send is it best to have the mix in DVerb at a 100% and adjust send or have send at FULL and adjust from within Dverb? Or does this not even matter? Thanks

If your using it as a send then I would stick it on Wet mode (which equates to 100%). Then use your send volume from your tracks to fit the amount of ambience to different elements.

thanks thats what i usually do but... just checking. As far as using it as an insert are there any general rules on this? Meaning you should use it as an insert for certain instruments or on mix.

Foe inserts you would have to think about it laterally. The reverb would be your \"virtual room\" in a sense. So perhaps using more early reflection and making the decay shorter might work for a start. Also if you only wanted 1/8th reflection you would use 12.5% wet or near as possible. Really you just need to experiment with the settings.

As plug-ins like these are trying to emulate the impulse of a room I find it's always best to use these are auxiliary effects as opposed to inserts. The exception to the rule may be modern club music though.
