Where's my LA2A?

I use the Cakewalk vst adaptor, and I went to insert the la2a and it doesn't appear in the plugins list anymore. All other UAD plugs seem to be present & correct. I reran the vst adaptor utility and it's listed in there as enabled etc. It also shows up in the meter as authorized for all cards....It's probably a Cakewalk feature but any ideas how I might get it back?

Check your vst power plugins folder and make sure the UAD LA2A DLL file has not been deleted.


You might need to reinstall.

Yep the DLL is still there.

Reinstall - you mean Cakewalk or the Uad stuff?

Reinstall UAD-1 and cakewalk if needed.

If you are running the Vst Versions you will need to run the cakewalk vst adapter again.

Same thing is happening to me - the La2a plug in doesn't show up in Cakewalk. It does show up in other apps I have. This just started happening when I installed the 4.3 update. Any ideas on this? I already tried re-installing everything. I'm going to send Cakewalk an email also.

Hmm interesting. When you say other apps you mean non-Cakewalk apps?

I also use Cakewalk's Project 5 and it won't show in there either.

One of the good guys at Cakewalk told me how to fix this.

It involved simply running Regedit and deleting a folder called 'Disabled Cakewalk plugs' or something similar and viola! my LA2A magically reappeared. Beautiful.

Now if I could only get the Multiband to work, my life would be complete
