Who cares about tradition?
UA is not in a buisiness making and selling Jack Daniels or Harley Davidson, but Hitech digital equipment(UAD department) so if they've allready closed the deal with AMS/Neve for making hi-tech models of NEVE EQs, Dyns, etc I think that there is a great oportunity here that UAD could get a world class reverb as a side bonus as well!
we are waiting
That's a funny observation, if anything were the Jack Daniels of Harley Davidson of pro audio, it would be the UA hardware the plugins are based on
Yeah I'd like to see an AMS RMX and DMX plugin that would be pretty cool, another one that would be great is the Lexi Super Prime Time.
I've got one and it's one cool hunka hardware, I just love the thing, use it all the time....I route one send to it, set one channel (it's actually two DDL's in one box with indendent control) for a slap or modulated delay and output it to one return on my console, then the other to a long delay output to another return....then mix on the front panel to taste and unmute the returns as needed.
I've got a Line 6 Echo Pro and the "vintage DDL" emulation on that does not even come close to the Super PT.
Maybe UA could come out with a "Classic Delays" bundle and offer the DMX/Super PT together.
I just got my Space Echo demo going last night, that thing is cool too, but the Super PT is a 'hole nother kettle of fish...different than the PCM41/42 as well.
