Who wants to see an AMS RMX-16 and S-DMX plugin?

Now that UA co-operates already with AMS-Neve there might be a chance to make two of my favourite hardware boxes as a plugin?

AMS RMX-16 reverb
AMS S-DMX stereo delay
/ pitch shifter (later version of the 15.80s)

I think it's possible with today's technology to make a faithful recreation of both. Especially if AMS-Neve helps a bit.

Yes! Oh, God yes!!! :p

That would be fantastic. Especially the nonlinear verb is very interesting! I'd buy both AMS and i would also love to see the EMT 250. Those reverbs would be killer!

But I don't know whether UA is planning to make a new reverb, since they already have 3 reverbs in their programm, but IF they would and the quality would be as good as the Plate 140 i'd buy them.

I'd be more interested in finding 2 replacement switches for my real rmx16. It's in need of service and finding the parts has proven difficult.

Count me in! My favourite! The hardware is so unreliable now a software version would be fantastic!

If AMS-Neve would cough up the original code for the RMX-16 and SDMX it would certainly help. Then all that's left to do for UA is to recreate the sound of the old converters.

I've been waiting for those more than anything.

I'd get rid of Nigel, Channel strip for those.

Bring them on. I'd skip Space, Precision, Roland for those.

Who cares about tradition?

UA is not in a buisiness making and selling Jack Daniels or Harley Davidson, but Hitech digital equipment(UAD department) so if they've allready closed the deal with AMS/Neve for making hi-tech models of NEVE EQs, Dyns, etc I think that there is a great oportunity here that UAD could get a world class reverb as a side bonus as well!

we are waiting

That's a funny observation, if anything were the Jack Daniels of Harley Davidson of pro audio, it would be the UA hardware the plugins are based on :)

Yeah I'd like to see an AMS RMX and DMX plugin that would be pretty cool, another one that would be great is the Lexi Super Prime Time.

I've got one and it's one cool hunka hardware, I just love the thing, use it all the time....I route one send to it, set one channel (it's actually two DDL's in one box with indendent control) for a slap or modulated delay and output it to one return on my console, then the other to a long delay output to another return....then mix on the front panel to taste and unmute the returns as needed.

I've got a Line 6 Echo Pro and the "vintage DDL" emulation on that does not even come close to the Super PT.

Maybe UA could come out with a "Classic Delays" bundle and offer the DMX/Super PT together.

I just got my Space Echo demo going last night, that thing is cool too, but the Super PT is a 'hole nother kettle of fish...different than the PCM41/42 as well.

I'd like another "mechanical" plug (we have Space Echo and Plate140 now) how about Putnam RealRoom(tm) Modeler?
AMS RMX-16 and S-DMX plugin? Sure why not?

Sure, would buy them unheard.
Same for the other suggestions, and let me add a big vote for the Roland R880, wonderful reverb.
Just bring them on !
Cheers,
Cooper
