I've never warmed to the BTD feature in any software and have always either mixed in the box to a new track via an aux or gone to outboard routing to another machine or back into the box to a new track.
With all the posts about dropouts, failed automation, clicks and pops what's the great allure anyway?
Given the need to review the final product why not just monitor the realtime mix post print and be done with it? That's faster than bouncing and then reviewing.
What piece of the puzzle is my feeble mind missing?
Just curious.
