Any rumors about 64-bit drivers? UAD is the last thing in my system that does't let me install XP64.
Have you got 64 bit drivers for your soundcard? Are all your plugs 64bit?

Both my audio card, Delta 66 (64bit drivers released last April) and MIDI interface, Roland UM-1 (64bit drivers released last February) are ready and so is my host app of choice, SONAR. SONAR 5, which will be released later this month will include both, 32bit and 64bit Win XP versions.

Plus, included in the SONAR 5 x64 Edition is the new BitBridge technology that enables exisiting 32bit VST/VSTi plugins to work in a 64bit environment. No need to worry about plugin compatibility.

So....... we just need UA to give us 64bit drivers for the UAD-1 card, so we can run our plugins. UA seems to be silent on the whole 64bit driver issue. I wonder what are UA's plans regarding the UAD-1 and x64? Will it be supported or not?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

I am waiting also to transfer to WinXP x64. Also, 32-bit apps should work just fine in Win64 thanks to the WoW layer. My hope is v4.0 to be released this month will have the x64 drivers.

Cheers,

I am sure it is okay to say this, but to UA supports credit, I got a prompt return email, to my inquiry, indicating that although they could not give a definitive release date, not surprisingly  , it seems that once the \"official\" Microsoft release, of WinXP 64, is made, to the public, the UAD-1 x64 drivers won't be too far behind.

That is sweet music to me ears :D

Ummm, it is an official Microsoft release. You purchase copy for yourself or on a pre-built system. I think that qualifies as an official release.

I agree. I need these drivers. Also (on the PC) a Sonar user and am dying for a reason to build a 64 bit system. Won't do a DAW until the UAD-1 is supported though.

On the bright side, by making us wait, prices are going to come down while specs go up on the 64 bit side.

Sonar 5 arrived yesterday and as of right now I have no 64 bit drivers for my UAD-1 or my RME card.

I am hoping v4.0 is taking a while because UA is making a 64-bit set of drivers.

I am in the same boat as you Noah.

I am also hoping v4.0 will bring the 64-bit drivers.
