Your turntable needs an amplifier to amplify it's signal. The Volt is an amplifier that is compatible with the signal from your turntable. You can run practically any line-level (or similar) device into the Volt; microphone pre-amps, stereo components, mixers, guitar pedals, synthesizers, etc., etc.Why?

it may work but if it has the ground cable you will hear a hum, so just go get a cheap 2 channel mixer and plug that into the voltHi!
The question maybe dumb, but that is all I pretty much know about turntables haha.
