x4 ALT monitors too quiet

- Apollo x4
- MON L/MON R Out to a pair of Amphions (main monitors)
- Line 1-2 Out is a pair of active Avantone Cubes (alt monitors)

After selecting ALT on the x4 I have to crank the knob to get the to hear anything. (volume is all the way up on the cubes). But it just feels like something's wrong. If I move the Cubes to Line Out 3-4, add the additional ALT count in Console, select FCN on the x4, it actually works fine. Proper volume.

What's going on? Has anyone experienced this?

Use the Alt Trims.
