O.T But Need Help Finding A Singer (Female)

Hi Everyone,

I know this is a little off topic but I need to find an alto that would collaborate with me through the internet (you know, like send files back and forth, etc.). I've looked at some of the sites that are supposed to have musicians on them to work with but, I don't know if it's me or what, but I can't seem to navigate through them to find what I'm looking for. There is actually a reason that I'm posting this here and that's because one of my songs was recently featured by Computer Music (to rave reviews I might add) and one of the things that was mentioned was the quality of the over all sound, especially the warmth of the lows and the sparkling highs. Well, I have to give all the credit to UAD for that becuase these are the only plugins that I use. So thanks UAD!

What style of music are you looking for?

I may be able to hook you up with someone....but need more specifics.

Thanks for your reply

I write in just about every style imaginable (and some, according to others, unimaginable). So for any style that would suit her, I'm sure that I'd have at least a few songs that she could sing. I know that's not much to go on but I really have eclectic tastes. Thanks in advance for your help on this. Take care.

I have couple of people in mind - not sure if they'd be up for it but they are both spectrums apart in sound.

However, I really need to know a bit more. I'm not surprised you couldn't find someone on one of the sites you searched - its sounds as if you're not too sure what you want.

So you have songs written incl. lyrics that can be adapted for the vocalist or you have them already mixed waiting to drop a vocal on the top? You can email me an mp3 if you like and I'll pass it on but include some detail about the sound you're looking for etc.

You could try posting up here, there's plenty of singers looking for work.

Sorry for the delay

Tom,

First of all, sorry for the lengthy delay in replying but I've been out on tour. Secondly, thanks for the link you gave as I've just gotten back I only had time to briefly look at the site but I intend to see what they have to offer. What I meant by the different styles is that I have songs ready in just about every genre so that once I find a singer, then I have the music that would fit that person. I don't mean to imply that one person should sing every song. I'll try to post a few sample tunes to you and see what you think. Thanks again.

I work with a chick who has a killer Melissa Etheridge-Raspy-Power sound...she is the real deal with this kinda stuff...To top it all off, her and her husband have a home studio so collarborating would be a breeze

Thanks Tom and Sparky2,
I think I am home somewhat permanently now so I can get down to the business of working on my own songs rather than somebody else's. Tom, I'm going to try and send you some songs with me (rather sheepishly, I might add) trying to sing the parts (now if that won't turn someone off to music forever, I don't know what will!) And Sparky2, I'd love to talk with your friends about what we could do together although my songs are mostly written with a gentler alto sound in mind but I am definitely open to trying anything new. Thanks again
