As 5 DSPs are not enough power to cover my needs… , I was looking for an native EQ that can make the job as the Massivo plug does.
Since I tried several plugs, I realized that there is certainly no perfect equivalent (but I’m still open to try anything, boyz ! …. ).
After a while I decided to buy Softube Summit Audio EQF-100 which is a very very sweet EQ. As the Manley, this passive tube EQ shows 4 full parametric bands with a switch to boots or cut.
In fact, I understood very quickly that this EQ is very different animal than Massivo, but I have no regrets since it is the perfect complement of Summit Audio TLA-100A compressor : they really serve each other very naturally. Summit Audio Grand Channel is so sweet that is became progressively my basic channel strip
But this plug cannot compet with Massivo when hard job is needed.
There are other very sweet EQs I tried : SPL Passeq, Elysia Musseq, TRacks EQ 432, are fine but no one of them is even close from the Massivo when you have to sculpt your sound
Any suggestions ?
Thanks for your help
