    What's being compromised at zero latency? Is it a special mode for tracking?

    Yep, wondering that too. I don't see much detail on that point yet.

    EDIT - judging from the website it seems that it is the plugin only that can do ZL, which kinda figures as systemwide had quite high latency in comparison to the plugin ...

    Seems awfully expensive to me if you had already purchased the plug in: what exactly is the point ?

    So now you will have spent $3-400 usd in total ?

    @Kcatthedog not sure I follow you, in most cases the upgrade is 19 euros?

    Ahh that’s the upgrade from a lesser product!

    In my case I bought systemwide a while back for 49 euros on sale, I’d been thinking recently perhaps the plugin version would have been a better option due to its lower latency. Now I get to have both and in the new version for a low fee. ‘‘Tis a generous offer!

    Does version four have any additional advantages besides zero latency? I have the speaker/headphone version of 3, but only use the headphone plugin - I found that the speaker version didn't translate well - I found that acoustic treatment gives much truer, more distinct imaging.

    This is the detail I found -

    "Our supported headphone library has grown to 101 models. Old profiles have been updated for even better accuracy, due to improved measurement technology and vastly larger measured sample sizes. The speaker measurement module has been improved for even better usability, so everyone can reliably measure their setup in less than 10 minutes. By the end of 2017 the speaker measurement module will be updated with an overhauled averaging algorithm to better account for different sweetspot distances from monitors. All Reference 4 users will get this feature for free."

    I haven't tried the speaker stuff, probably won't unless I move house as my studio is in a very small room with cube dimensions, better I stick to the HD600s

    @maximus
    Yes, likewise. I am doing a lot of mixing while travelling using the sonarworks with redline monitor and HD650s, and the dragonfly red dac, and have been getting good results, although I find that using reference material is a must for balancing low end.

    Have you had your headphones done with a custom profile? If so, do you think it worthwhile?

    @anyone: Have you tried HD800s' ? Do you think they would be a significant improvement over the 650's, especially as regards their relative cost...?
