Hi there! Will the Apollo solo work in the same system (connected to the same computer) with an apollo twin? My plan is to add another pair of unison preamps to the two that I have on the apollo twin. To my knowledge the apollo twin and the arrow could not work on the same system. Thanks!

Hi Drew. Regards the new LA3A, the UA website says...

"Now featuring improved user interface graphics and sonic appointments"

Is 'sonic appointments' referring to the new mix and sidechain features or was there more done under the hood?

Just the added features, not a MKII plug.

No, only one Twin, Arrow, Solo, or x4 per system.

The preamps and converters on the Solo are the same as the Apollo X4, X8 or the same as the Arrow?

Pleasant surprise. Please report any issues over the next week for those of us that do not jump in to these things.

No Apollo x converters? Just a different colour and a USB version which is only compatible with Windows? Haha, really? This new Apollo Solo is a joke!!!
Well at least USB users can upgrade from the mk1 to the mk II converters:p A pitty. I really considered this as a compensatory interface. Thank god I went with the X series. I don't want to downgrade when its about the converters/sound.
BTW should I update now? I still use the 9.11 driver.

Just off the top of my memory, the preamps are the same, but the conversion might not be. Still really good and most people wanting the mobile recording benefits shouldn't be hung up on that.

I'd say the bigger question is if you want to spend at premium UAD prices and just get one sharc processor.

It's notable that if you really want to go further with UAD plugins you'll need more than one chip. Getting a Satellite is fine, but expensive and still requires external power
