So I lucked out BIG TIME. My brand new intel iMac came in today. It's running Catalina!!!!! I huge roar of hooray for sure! Now the question is, I'm getting asked to update to Catalina 10.15.7. I will not until I hear that it is safe to do so. The question is, is it safe to do so?

Yes, macOS Mojave (10.14.x) and Catalina (macOS 10.15.x) are supported for the OX app: https://www.uaudio.com/ox/app/

Big Sur (macOS 11.0.x) officially isn’t supported yet, so I would hold off on that upgrade until Universal Audio declares that a supported macOS version: https://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050791811-macOS-11-Big-Sur-Compatibility-Info

But as shown the OX app does already seem to work on Big Sur, although it’s not officially supported yet.

If you have any UAD software, you’ll definitely don’t want to upgrade to Big Sur yet. But upgrading to the latest version of Catalina (10.15.7 currently) is fine when it comes to Universal Audio software.

Also, I recommend backing up your system (use Time Machine and/or a disk imaging tool) before any upgrade like this, so you can always go back in case of trouble.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!
I thought that too, but after closer inspection I saw it was actually just a V30 (Vintage 30) cabinet that he renamed. Ox doesn’t show the version on the app window.

I just bought a UAD OX LOAD BOX (second hand) but I'm having connection problems.
I'm on Mac mini M1 Big Sur.
I have registered in Wifi the Hotspot requested it is connected but in the application internally it does not load the page (attachement)

I re-downloaded the application and I also reset the load box but nothing happened.

I contacted Brandon a few weeks ago and he kindly told me that there was not much he could do, "the App is only supported/works on Mojave and Catalina" but I asked him if other people were like me, I can't believe that nobody is deprived of this app under Big Sur and even less under M1 ' but I asked him if other people were like me, I can't believe that nobody is deprived of this app under Big Sur and even less under M1...

Is it an application problem?
I'm disappointed I would have liked to test this great device.

Thank you in advance
Best Regards
Jo

All good here on BS Intel. I suspect the M1 might be the cause. Not sure I've seen OX run on that yet.

Hi,

I can't believe that nobody else is on M1 and uses the Ox... Do you think that a reinstallation of V1 on the Ox using a USB key is a good solution?

Thank you in advance
