I have been scratching my head on the constant CPU overload errors I had been getting in PT 10.3.7 with an OCTO, 8 Quad and Satellite Quad.
First, I figured it was the FW bus on the latest 12 core MAC Pro, so I bought a Sonnet FW PCI-e card.
Nope, still CPU errors.
Only now I've discovered that by deactivating the Satellite does it play at 128 buffers fine. At least for now. So I guess the Satellite really can only be used with the Apollo FW at higher buffer sizes. Together below 256, it craps out.
More of an FYI. Works fine during mixing at 1024 or above.
