    Can I connect my QSC TouchMix-16 to my Apollo Quad UAD 2? (How do I route it)

    It may seem like a silly question to many of you but I am a novice. I have looked for countless hours searching for a "How-To" to be able to route my QSC TouchMix to the Apollo Uad 2 and then to my Mac. Currently I am using my QSC TouchMix by itself with a 16 channel snake. I then got a new Mac computer and now I want to be able to connect my QSC mixer to my Apollo UAD 2 so I can record and use the UAD Plug-ins also. (Side note: I want to use this in a live setting, by that I mean I want to potentially use the plug-ins for a live setting which is why I am asking the question.)

    Again, like I said it may be a silly thing to ask but I'd like to know if its even possible, If it is how do I go about routing the wires and all. Also if I need to buy anything else to make it work, what specifically would I need?

    Thanks for the help!

    @Jahmmin asked how he could

    route my QSC TouchMix to the Apollo Uad 2 and then to my Mac.
    Since there are no ADAT outputs on the Touchmix, you would need to patch the line level aux outputs on the Touchmix to the line level inputs on the Apollo.

    The Touchmix would still connect to the Mac via USB, The Apollo would connect to the Mac via TB or Firewire, depending on the model.

    UA plugins would get loaded into the UA Console 2 application which would be running on the Mac. Then you would need to patch the outputs from the Apollo back to the Touchmix assuming it is connected to your PA. You would essentially be using the Apollo as an outboard effects box.

    This can be done, but MIDI control of plugins is not available in the latest version of Console.

    Mackie Onyx 1640, Event SP-8, Kemper Profiling Amp, Roland VG-99

    Another possibility would be to connect the line level aux outputs from the Touchmix into the line level inputs on the Apollo the way Scratch said, and run the monitor output of the Apollo to the PA instead of running the Touchmix to the PA.

    Your Apollo and touchmix would each connect to the computer to use the Mac as a control for adding plug-ins and setting levels going to the PA.
