Ridiculous hardware pricing outside of the US and EU

UA allowing intl distributors to rip off customers:

Apollo Twin Quad in Germany: €1,091.60
Apollo Twin Quad in South Africa: R28,899.00 which equates to €1,975 which is almost double!

This is a ridiculous amount to pay - even with a 20% import tax and shipping it still over 70% more expensive!

Thoughts?

What you do then is take the extra money you'd otherwise spend on the unit and... take a trip to buy one?

American's get ripped off for all sorts of things. Wine costs, Dental, Medical. Many go to other countries to get their teeth fixed.
For the price of a bunch of crowns in the US, you can travel to Costa Rica or Prague, get your teeth fixed, stay in a hotel, pay for the airfare, and drink yourself silly AND... get them done by better dentists.
After surgery patient care in India is 100x better than the US with much better outcomes for things like Heart Surgery.

So.. Take a trip, bring it back like you always owned it. A Twin will fit inside a shoe box.
