I'll pass. I'm waiting for the day UA will release a new audio interface for Windows with LUNA.

And the day they'll announce UAD 1081 mkII plugin haha!

Am I reading right that these interfaces don’t support Luna?

The 1176esque circuit is analogue?!
Yes and yes.

Completely different user than Apollo. Although many Apollo users will enjoy having one for the road or use with iOS devices.

Isn't it just a matter of time before all Apollo interfaces will have Apple M1 Silicon native support. When UA has accomplished that, it's pretty much straight forward to have Apollo Solo/Arrow/x-range supported on iOS/iPadOS too.

No, that's not the issue. It's that iOS devices use iOS.

I wouldn't want to disconnect my X4 to travel and a Solo costs $700 currently. As much as I like Luna, I still actively use Logic plenty, and were we not in a pandemic I'd definitely think about a Volt for on the go or even just to use with a laptop on the couch.

Are these interfaces class compliant?

I’m kind of in the same boat. I’d get a 276 just to keep in my laptop bag and add to Luna sessions on the road if it meant I could use Luna and just a couple of my existing plugins. The new Volt line seems like a nice bunch of products but not of much use to existing UA users and no clear way for new, entry level users to smoothly step into bigger recording systems or plugin packs. I don’t really understand the business logic.

Did you happen to test them with a Maschine+ or Akai MPC? Class compliant may or may not mean that they're Linux class compliant which is what is needed to be used with these boxes.

Drew, I was referring to Apollo device driver support on Apple Silicon. My statement was from a technical point of view. Currently, only Intel arch is supported, which requires Apple Rosetta 2 that is going to be decommissioned at some point by Apple.

My point is, when Arm64 (SoC) is supported, then it is straight forward to have e.g. Apollo Solo supported on an iOS device. In other words, that would be equally mobile.

Our driver is already native, has ben for a while. We need to get Console and the Meter app compiled, and that work in ongoing.

So again we're back to OS support which is very different from chips.
