UAD Brainworx Ampeg B-15N Portaflex please?

I am thankful for the wonderful work of Brainworx on the Ampeg SVT models, but I am surprised that THE vintage recording studio go-to amp, the B-15/N is not on the UAD platform. It seems like the B-15 would be a perfect fit for UAD's vintage charm. Does anyone know of the best means to place a request?

Greeting. The wants and wishes sub-forum is where we do all our dreaming. But this is a user based unofficial forum thus will likely go unheard. UA does have the annual survey that they mail out, that is the best place to voice your desires. Just make sure that you are registered on the UA mailing list. Just FYI, if you use the SVT plugin and switch the cab to a 1x15 and use the controls more subtly, you can get really close, if not right on a B-15 sound. I use channel two for this because it's more basic and you can dial in a warm sound easily, but either channel works. It's really the cab that makes the most difference and just pushing it into warmth, not getting too crazy.

But I agree, that is my favorite amp for recorded bass tones and if there was a UAD version I would probably use it on everything.

Good advice, as always, DanButsu!

But, I can't believe they would never read these forums. Sure, they might not be normal human beings (they make out of this world plugins, so they have to be aliens, don't they?), I suspect that they, like you and me, probably will read these forums too occasionally. So, let's not stop making our UAD plugin wishes known. And I like to read what other people wish for, so nope, never stop. ;)

The forums are definitely read by UA. That doesn't mean every thread, but there are a couple other UA people on the boards and GK is very active.

If only all forum wishes were granted this quickly, or at all..! I'm looking forward to using this plugin, it sounds very close to the real thing (from what my ageing brain can recall from 20 years ago...).

Well that was cool...

I just saw the Facebook post from Brainworx and had to do a double take. I immediately thought of this board and came searching back for my login credentials. Needless to say, I'm stoked. As a representative for Brainworx and UAD...(I kid). Thanks for instilling some semblance of hope in me, although I highly doubt my suggestion meant anything as it takes a good while to cook up such a great plugin.

Lets test it out - say you want a Fender Blackface Twin, Deluxe and Princeton Reverb with unison. Lets see what happens in two weeks.

I'm a Siegmund guy, so I'd prefer to see those modeled, but I also know it's a little too boutique (read: low sales/draw) to warrant the effort of such a sponsorship. Is there a licensed SDK for Unison technology? Or does it basically need a UAD partnership?
